Celtic Cross

This image is simple, chilling and installs an eerie interest in the viewer with it's subtle malevolence; it really appeals to me and my darker side.
The red-tint that has been put over the image adds to the haunting nature of the photo because it fills the viewer with a sense of uneasiness, in the same sort of way that the climax to a horror film does with high-stringed music. The tinting connotes (to me at least) blood and hell, something which both conflicts and agrees with the central focus (the cross) of the image in a way that makes the photo all the more interesting to look at.
I like the way that we're almost looking up at the cross, like it's towering ominously over the camera. It just makes the focus of the photo clear and attention-grabbing.
In conclusion, this is an impressive yet simplistic (in a good way) photo that sends shivers down my spine. Great job!
